Interaction

 Hi everyone!

Based on Isabel María's task using Wordwall for learning about I like / I don't like, I am going to use this tool for learning the process of making questions with DO. Firstly, this is the progression we will follow:

  • Review "I like / I don't like": revisiting the Wordwall activity to activate prior knowledge. Students should be comfortable expressing their likes and dislikes.
  • Introduce Questions with "Do": connecting the "I like" structure to the question form "Do you like...?"
  • Practice: engaging students in asking and answering "Do you like...?" questions.
  • Final Task: designing a task that requires students to use the learned question structure in a meaningful and communicative way.

  • The final task will be based on "Find Someone Who". So, students have a worksheet with items, and they need to find classmates who like those items by asking "Do you like...?" questions. Task outline:
    1. Preparation: creating a worksheet with pictures or words representing various items (e.g., pizza, cats, football, reading, music).
    2. Instructions: explaining to students that they need to walk around the classroom and ask their classmates "Do you like...?" questions about the items on their worksheet.
    3. Interaction: when a classmate answers "Yes, I do," the student writes their classmate's name next to that item on the worksheet.
    4. Goal: the goal is to find at least one classmate who likes each of the items on the worksheet.
    5. Follow-up: after the activity, students can share some of their findings with the class (e.g., "I found that Maria likes pizza").
This final task provides a practical and interactive way for my 3rd Primary students to solidify their understanding of forming questions with "Do" in a fun and engaging classroom activity. See you!

    1. I just visited your blog and I must say it´s demonstrates a creative and thoughtful use of various digital tools that enhance both content delivery and engagement. .I was particularly impressed by the mini-project created with Genially about the water cycle. Its interactive and dynamic design effectively communicates a complex topic in an engaging and accessible way, making it a highlight of the blog. While the blog is already strong, there are a few aspects that could be refined to further enhance its impact. For instance, the blog could incorporate features like quizzes or clickable elements within tools digital tools.
